Nanogram | Studio is a collaborative of young architectural designers who met in graduate school, remaining friends long after. We are makers and have a vested interest in changing the face of Phoenix urbanistically. The downtown area of Phoenix is beset with vacant lots, lying unused while developers patiently await an upturned economy. In the Fall of 2012, Nanogram won a grant from the Roosevelt Row CDC to re-activate one such lot and create a flexible activity space for mobile vending, outdoor movies, and gallery space for local artists. This elevated recreational area dubbed ‘PARtK|PARK’ is constructed of salvaged wood pallets, synthetic grass donated by local indoor soccer fields, and a sole shipping container. The ‘Before I Die Wall’ is hopefully the first of many successful art installations to rotate through the open air gallery. The location is 813. N. 1st St. Phoenix, AZ 85004.  Opening Date: 2.7.2014.
