Birmingham
Alabama, USA

This wall was organized by the team of TEDxBirmingham and built by Birmingham volunteers.  The project was funded through Kickstarter with the support of over 50 backers.

The wall is on the side of the Wood Wade building, a 1932 brick building that has previously housed a lumber mill, automobile warehouse, and HVAC distributor. In the fall of 2013, the building will be renovated into a brewery and taproom for local brewer Beer Engineers. It is located at the corner of 1st Avenue South and 14th Street South in the midtown revitalization district, directly across 14th Street from the new Regions Field, home of the minor league Birmingham Barons.

All 135 spaces on the wall were filled within 24 hours of the wall going up.  Within a week, all the free space had been filled in and written over several times. The wall garnered lots of media attention within Birmingham, being written up in AL.com several times, and featured on ABC 33/40, FOX 6 and CBS 42 news.

I want to experience one moment without worry or stress.

I want to fight zombies.

I want to not care about my looks.

I want to gun it up to 88 MPH.

I want to help children become better men.
